If you hear the TEST tone in both left snd right connected speakers, you might be nearly there.

To test your Default Device for Sound Playback, navigate to the "Test" button (mine is visible after clicking the CONFIGURE button). Note, in order to use this audio configuration with Resolve or other programs, I needed to connect my speaker monitors to the AUDIO OUT jack on the rear of my HDMI-connected Samsung display, before I got any sound.Įlse, I needed to make a *different* device the Default Device for Sound Playback.

Hit the Properties button then go into Supported Formats tab, to see what audio Sample Rate(s) your audio driver is currently set up to support. Now, right-click on that loudspeaker icon, to access SOUND settings, and under the PLAYBACK DEVICES, note the green checkmark next to the icon representing your "Default Device" for audio. Mine currently indicates the model number of my 28" monitor display (as it's receiving a audio via the nVidia card, via the monit or's HDMI connection from the host machine (ASUS notebook). Windows will provide you a little pop-up tag that informs you which device is your current, "Default Device" within the Windows environment. If on a PC, with Resolve launched, hover your mouse over the little "loudspeaker" icon. My "external audio peripheral" that caused me some perplexity l, was an HDMI cable-connected, LG monitor (which contains no speaker system inside it!) and all the while, I needed to consider running my nearfield speaker monitors via that LG display's sucky "stereo headphone/audio out" port!Ģ. Unplug extra peripheral hardware (es especially audio-related) devices (especially headphones?) from your computer and restart Resolve. Sent from my P00I using TapatalkWith your Realtek driver back in place,ġ. Thanks.Did you check the audio sampling rate chosen in your Realtek audio driver settings? It should match settings in Resolve Project Settings. If more info is needed, I'll be happy to clarify. I also have the speaker configuration set as "Use System Setting" which shows the correct device.

I am currently also on Windows 10 with a Realtek on-board sound card. Waveforms are seen but the meters don't show anything while playing. Peter Benson wrote:As mentioned in the title, I cannot hear audio from Davinci Resolve on version 15 beta. I'll check back with you, especially if I come up with a plausible recommendation. I couldn't find audio sample-rate there either (tho' I have seen it in the EDIT Delivery page for sure, but that's not the source of your problem). I may have mischaracterized the Project Settings' audio setup options. Regarding Fairlight, no, I didn't really mess around with it.Apologies. Regarding Fairlight, no, I didn't really mess around with it. could you kindly guide me where I can find them? Regarding the audio sample rate, I cannot seem to find them in the Project Settings.

Had you, by any chance, been poking around in Fairlight page's extensive audio patching and bussing GUI? If so, let us know.
